We all know people who once had big dreams and aspirations, but have since “settled”. There is probably nothing sadder than this. As Thoreau implies in this quote, once you lose hold of your dreams and aspirations, you may still convert oxygen to carbon dioxide by breathing, but you cease to truly live. Don’t give in. Don’t settle. Don’t give up. Continue to pursue your dreams and aspirations until you achieve them.
