Life Is Not Fair

Life is not fair; get used to it.
________
Bill Gates

What’s fair is pretty subjective to begin with. It has been said that all is fair in love and war. How about in entrepreneurship and the world of great achievers? Perhaps even more so, because as entrepreneurs and achievers, we are often blazing new trails, where there are no set rules and the concept of fairness is frequently a bit warped. I have to agree with Bill Gates on this one – we just have to get used to it and move on. It will do no good to complain about fairness; we simply must keep moving forward toward out goals. No excuses.
